Scuba Diving

We offer 3 dives per day.

Rates are per person in US dollars:

1 guest 1 divemaster $50/dive

2 guests 1 divemaster $40/dive

3 guests 1 divemaster $40/dive

4 guests 1 divemaster $35/dive

We provide Al80/11L yoke valve tanks, air, weights, guide and boat support.

Prices include fuel to access both near and far dive sites from Ocean Lovers.

Local dive sites (10-15L gas rt): Barracuda Reef, Blacktip Reef, Wall of Blessings, Lovers Reef

Close sites (15-25L gas rt): Manta Point, Manta Sandy, Cape Kri, Sardine Reef, Chicken Reef, Sawandarek Jetty, W. Mansuar, Yenkoranu Jetty

Farther sites (50L gas rt): Blue Magic, Mioskun, Friwen Wall, Max Point, Otdima, Waranhus Reef

Piaynemo and Melissa's Garden requires 120L gas round trip - possible with advanced planning.

Depths are 32m/105ft to 5m/16ft typically walls and reef structures. Some sandy bottom sites. There is a deep channel in front of Ocean Lovers allowing whales, dolphins and dugongs to swim close by.

Night dives are offered on our house reef as the third dive in a day.

Safety stops are often done at the top of a reef but also can be done in the blue. There are strong tidal currents in Raja Ampat. We can plan around the current for calmer waters but also expect some drift diving.

All divers in Raja Ampat protected regions are required to dive with a locally PADRA certified Raja Ampat dive guide; which includes diver rescue training.

50% payment is due at time of booking via bank transfer. The remainder can be paid on arrival. Cash (preferred)(IDR, USD, Euro) and bank transfer accepted on site.

If you are traveling without gear or have equipment failure, we can help you rent gear with one day notice.

The water is warm but there are many poisonous creatures and corals. Please plan to cover your skin while diving. For reef protection, gloves are not encouraged. Sunscreen is not encouraged. Sun hats and water bottles are recommended.

Proof of dive certification is required at time of reservation. Due to ocean conditions and to best protect Mansuar island, we ask that divers have >30 dives and preferably AOW certification before visiting our dive center.

We recommend DAN diving insurance.

In case of emergency we have O2 on our boat and at Ocean Lovers. Villages on the islands have larger O2 stores. The closest decompression chamber is in Raja Ampat at the Wasai General Hospital.

All divers are required to sign a liability release waiver.
